Bench.co announced that they have closed their accounting platform effective immediately (12/27/24). Bench was an online bookkeeping service provider that started in 2011, and like others such as 1-800Accountant and Quickbooks Live, provided low-cost bookkeeping services by competing for the lowest price while having to deliver the service level needed to support their clients. Their customers received no advanced warning and has business owners scrambling in panic and concern over having access to their financial data.
